This rule covers the learning of all technique.
When learning techniques, the rank you are determines how many techniques you may know, what ranks of jutsus you may learn, and how easy it is to learn them. No matter your rank, C-rank Forbid-Techs require 4 points, B-rank kForbid-Techs require 6 points, A-rank Forbid-Techs require 8 points, and S-rank Forbid-Techs require 10 points. These points are awarded when you start a Rank Training topic and make exceptional posts, determined not only by length but by quality as well. It is possible to get 0.5 points for a 10-paragraph post of babble, but 2 points for a 5-paragraph post of quality writing. You must also have approval from an admin or two moderators to learn a Forbid-Tech that is not your custom creation.
In addition to this, characters also gain a bonus to learning Forbid-Techs.
When learning a Forbid-Tech equal to your rank, you gain a 0.5 reduction to points.
For Forbid-Tech of one rank lower, you gain 1.5 reduction to points.
For Forbid-Tech of two or more ranks lower, you gain a 2.5 reduction to points.
Abilities, are not as easily acquired as it may seem. Once you've picked a Ability you want to have, you must still get the creator's (unless you are the one whom made it) and an admin's permission to use it (if you were the one to make it, you automatically receive it when it is approved, because that requires admin approval).
When Training multiple characters in the same post one does not have to separate the posts out for each character, they may post as all of them at once (If they are interacting) however this does not allow you to receive points for each of them with a single grade. Each character that you are training must receive a point grade towards the total for the quality of the full post. This means that if someone makes a post that is worthy of 6 points than the mod would divide these six points between the amount of character being trained so if two character are being trained each character receives 3 points.
Ranking up system.
The ranking system gives us more realistic strength rankings by separating a character's actual combat strength. Now, all characters will start as E-rank. To progress through the ranks requires admin permission and a 5 point topic to do with your character. For those unfamiliar with this concept, it must be a topic of good quality in which you can simply train your character, fight some NPCs and push them over their limit, provide some good character development etc., in other words, anything and everything that expands on your character. For a rank training to succeed, you must gain 5 points, awarded by moderators, without leaving the topic. If you do leave the topic without gaining 5 points, you'll have to restart it from 0 later. It is a good idea to add the [Rank Training] tag into the topic's title so moderators will know it needs to be graded.
Note you cannot do rank training and jutsu training at the same time. It means you can do it in the same topic, but one post can only count towards one or the other, not both. This actually goes for all kinds of training: none of them can be combined into training for any two things at once.
The ranks are E, D, C, B, A and S; there are also the special SS and SSS ranks that cannot be obtained normally. (these are given out at discretion of the Admin's vote as to who gets them)
When replacing a dead character, your new one may start at two ranks, you may start lower than that, but not higher. If the character was killed in battle, you may apply to get one third the techniques they had on a new character. This means they can start with some techniques learned. The amount is one third of the deceased character's learned techs, and the rank is average of the techs they had, both rounded down.
